Properties:Â Â Tabernil antidiarrhoea contains Gentamicin, which is a bactericidal aminoglycoside antibiotic, whose antibacterial action results from acting on the 30S subunit of ribosomes, preventing protein synthesis. It prevents the initiation phase in a special way, altering the ordering of the messenger RNA and causing an incorrect reading of the genetic code of the transfer RNA. It also disturbs the permeability of the bacterial membrane. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomona aeruginosa, Enterobacteriaceae, Salmonella spp and Staphylococcus aureus. Anaerobic microorganisms are resistant. Indications:Â Â Treatment of enteritis (diarrhea) caused by the sensitive microorganisms mentioned above Target species:Â Â Canaries and ornamental birds in general (parakeets, goldfinches, etc.).
