The snake has become a symbol of transformation, rebirth, immortality and healing. Ancient Greeks considered the serpent a sacred symbol of the Greek god Asclepius, a deity associated with healing and medicine. The Rod of Asclepius (the stick of Asclepius) is symbolized by a snake-entwined rod, where in modern times it has become the symbol of medicine. Fascinated by this symbolism we have created a series of handmade women gold/silver jewelry based on the snake.
