Heel up Long

Heel Up Long is a one-patient heel lifter for pressure relief of the heel in bedridden patients. Suitable for users with medium or long lower legs (> 48 cm).\nHeel Up Long is inflatable and covered with nonwoven felt, which is a skin-friendly material that absorbs moisture, transports heat and is soft and comfortable.\nThe heel lifter ensures, in addition to relieving the heel, that the Achilles tendons and malleolus (bony projections at the ankles) are relieved. It supports the forefoot and prevents drop foot.\n\nThe heel lifter has an ergonomic end so that there is no increased pressure load on the calf and the knee is not strained.\n\n\n The heel lifter is unfolded and the pump/breathing tube is inserted into the self-closing valve. \n The heel lifter is pumped up until the enclosing 'stop up' paper tape bursts and the pump/breathing tube is removed. \n The heel lifter is now ready for use. \n The user's foot is placed in the heel lifter and the band is closed over the opening. \n It is checked that the heel is lifted approx. 1½ finger width above the substrate. \n The heel lifter can be inflated again if it loses air.
