For this Pu Erh specialty, only the topmost green tea leaves and fine white buds are carefully harvested by hand in spring on the Dongzhai plantation and then fermented several times over a long period of time, the so-called „post-fermentation“. The result is a strong,earthy tea with a special depth of taste, which in comparison to other teas of its kind contains both fruity components and light woody notes.
